Impermanence and Resilience

In 1841, Theodore Parker gave a sermon entitled “The Transient and the Permmanent in Christianity,” which became one of the most important theological pillars of Unitarianism (and later Unitarian Univesalism). Many things have changed since then. How do we manage to shift with the times, to create necessary change, and to hold on to our important anchors? How can we build our resiliency to weather all that comes our way?
