Welcome to our programs of religious education and exploration. We support each child, youth, and adult in their journey to explore religious ideas and ethical values, fulfill a commitment to social justice, build healthy relationships, and celebrate the joys of life. Love is the foundation of our program, our congregation, and our faith.

RE Committee meetings are held monthly. Guests are welcome. Please contact one of the committee chairpersons if you wish to attend.

Religious Education Goals

1. teaching our children and youth about their UU identity, and to question and find their own spiritual path,
2. increasing awareness regarding issues of social responsibility,
3. fostering intergenerational experiences,
4. encouraging social relationships among our children and youth,
5. providing an emotionally and physically safe, secure, nurturing environment.

UUFSB is a Safe Congregation that strives to protect children and youth. 

We offer the following RE programs:

• Tiny Tots (care for children under 5): Sundays from 10:30-11:45 a.m. Note: Please contact the Directors of Religious Education at DRE@UUFSB.org for summer and holiday availability.
• RE Classes for Kindergarten through 4^th grade, and 5th through 8th grade. Classes take place most Sundays during Worship Services.
• Youth Group for teens in 9^th through 12^th grade
• Intergenerational services
• Family fun events/outings/gatherings
• Community service and social action activities 

All adults are welcome to share their time and talents with our children and youth. Our program is nourished by this village of care. Please contact the Directors of Education at DRE@UUFSB.org for volunteer information.  Thank you!
