Mayté Alzugaray will offer a free one-hour beginner’s lesson of Cuban Salsa Dancing on Sun., Feb.12 at 12:15 p.m. (meet in the sanctuary). No experience or partner is necessary. The advantage of Cuban Salsa is that it can be danced in couples, or in a circle that we call “rueda” (which means “wheel” in Spanish), exchanging partners after every move. This dance is a lot of fun and a very communal experience. By the end of the lesson, you will be able to dance your first very simple rueda to happy Cuban music.
