A Speck on the Island

Seen from an airplane flying over Long Island on a clear day, the Fellowship is just a speck among a myriad of houses, parks schools and businesses. But up close, UUFSB is a warm and loving community. Once you enter the doors, it feels like a self-contained universe, a spiritual shelter from the storms outside. However, our UU Covenant calls us beyond our walls to respond to the call for social justice, and we need not respond alone. The Long Island Area Council (LIAC) brings us together with members of other congregations  around Long Island from Shelter Rock and Garden City to Southold and Bridghampton. This service, led by John Lutterbie, looks at how LIAC helps us and how it helps us help others.
