The bill seeks to prohibit local law enforcement and state agencies from conspiring with ICE/CBP and participating in the cruelty of raids/detention which can tear families apart. At a state level, we can work to foster trust in local agencies instead of fear/anxiety that many immigrant New Yorkers and their families experience in daily life by going to school, work, or utilizing public services.
