NewTai Chi Master Leads Workshop at UUFSBPaulLam TaiChiMaster

Forty people gathered at the Fellowship in June to attend a full-day workshop led by Dr. Paul Lam from Australia. Dr. Lam is a well-known expert in the field of health and Tai Chi. We were very honored to have him come. Everyone that attended knew the “Yang Style 24 Movement” and he deepened that knowledge for all of us. Spring 2017 Classes

Drop-ins are welcome for $15 per class, although if you pay in advance for the rest of the semester you will get the $12 per class price. Tai Chi Characters

YANG 150 - Advanced - MONDAY, 10:30 a.m. 

Judith Budd-Walsh of Harmonious Movement is teaching the Yang Long Form guided by the teachings of T.T. Liang. She incorporates Qigong taught by her Master teachers, Chung Li, Dr. Nan Lu, C.K. Chu, Dr. Paul Lam, Jim Cummings and Kenneth Cohen, ending the hour-long class with Five Organ Healing and Healing the Five Senses meditations.

Spring 2017 dates: March 27 ● April 3, 17, 24 ● May 1, 8, 15, 22 ● June 5, 12  (makeup class June 26) ● July 10, 17

TAI CHI YANG 24 - Intermediate - WEDNESDAY, 9:45 a.m.

Certified instructor Rosanne Pawluk has started a Yang style 24 class. This form is a classic for that you would see being practiced in the parks in China.  These gentle flowing movements have proven to increase flexibility, balance and improve joint health. Comfortable clothing and sneakers are all that's needed.

TAI CHI FOR HEALTH (NINE NEW MOVEMENTS) - Intermediate - WEDNESDAY, 11:00 a.m.

Based on Sun style Tai Chi, this form was designed specifically for people with arthritis but is also good for any beginning tai chi student. This class is for students new to tai chi for arthritis. Some meditation and Qigong may also be explored.

TAI CHI FOR HEALTH - Beginner - WEDNESDAY, 12:15 p.m. 

Based on Sun style Tai Chi, this form was designed specifically for people with arthritis but is also good for any beginning tai chi student. This class is for students new to tai chi for arthritis. Some meditation and Qigong may also be explored.

TAI CHI YANG 24 MOVEMENT - Mixed Beginner - THURSDAY, 6:45 p.m.

George Graf continues to teach the classic 24 movement form.  If  you've never done Tai Chi before this is the class for you. Learn the form you see done in parks in China, San Francisco and even New York City's Chinatown. ; Class will include some meditation. New students welcomed.

TAI CHI 42 MOVEMENT - Advanced - THURSDAY, 7:45 p.m.

George Graf is continuing to teach the competition/combination 42 movements this semester. This form is suitable for the intermediate/advanced student. The form is short and doesn't take a lot of time to do, making it easier to fit into the busy life an average person may have. The benefits of the form are numerous, from skeletal, muscular, circulation, to helping prevent disease.

TAI CHI YANG 24 FORM - Intermediate - FRIDAY, 9:45 a.m.

Continue the journey with Rosanne Pawluk as she leads you in the Yang 24 Form, long practiced in China for health and longevity. This class is for students who have studied Yang 24 for at least one semester.

Fan (based on Yang Style Tai Chi) - Beginner - FRIDAY, 11:00 a.m. 

Fan forms are some of the most beautiful forms of Tai Chi. This form will develop graceful movements and fluidity while building chi and strength. Practicing this form will improve posture, enhance balance, flexibility and coordination.

No knowledge of Tai Chi is necessary.
